A life-long artist, now on the precipice of dropping original music, you are early to her journey. Producer, singer, and songwriter, she is producing ear-candy beats, with grooves, melodies, and sections that swell and resolve, for an ever-entertaining sonic landscape. Rejecting all notions of genres and limiting beliefs, this is an open-format playing field. Everything is fair game, and this fluid approach to genre-bending, arrangement, and sampling is formulating a landscape - one that is authentically all her own.
At the same time, Grecia Gabriela specializes in capturing the human condition through the lens, with still photography and short films. Always with an emphasis on capturing humanity in the context of environment, whether the natural world or its artificial counterpart.
Born in Toluca, México and raised in Wisconsin, U.S., she has grown up between worlds. Caught between the Mexican culture and the American one, between conservative impositions and a free- nature, between radicalization and a deeply introspective nature. A reality that would only make sense through an extremist lens, her life has been one of contradictions, change and movement.
Always finding solace in the arts, she has seen this as her opportunity to understand and shift the sensation of modern malaise into one of creative action, originating first from the self and secondarily from the collective. Her perspective and voice seeks to inspire, through truths and questions landing between ambiguity and poetic phrasings.
She has served as a Producer for the international brand and company; Eaton DC. Specializing in many facets of the day to day, Gaby’s intellectual property and creative capital amounted to a deep understanding of the brand’s history, values and goals. This allowed her to contribute with creative projects, while project-managing teams, co-organizing a virtual film festival (during COVID), copywriting collateral across web, presentations and PR/marketing communications, while also being the archivist to the brand and the DC property; managing all creative assets with internal and external PR/Marketing teams. Lastly, she was also an in-house editor for the brand and property Eaton DC.
She was on the Eaton DC team, when the originally produced, “Atención! Murderer Next Door, 2020”, won the News & Documentary Emmy Award for Outstanding Feature Story in Spanish (while also being awarded as an OP-DOC with The New York Times).
